Technique: Give a tug at the arms to activate the shoulder girdle pulling them up into sitting
Frequency:
- 1-2 x daily
- Work up to 10 hand pulls watching for head lag on the way up or down
Undesired reactions:
- Unable to pull the head off the floor
- Head lag from laying position to head flexion
- Not able to engage the biceps to assist in pulling up into a seated position
- Holding breath
- Unable to coordinate head, arm, and sitting movements
- Unable to keep feet on the floor during the sit up
