This exercise is a continuation of work for the Asymmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex (ATNR)
Technique:
- Laying face down on the ground
- Turn head away from extended arm overhead while the opposite knee is bent up to the hip
- Reverse the direction of the arms and legs and head at the same time
Frequency: 5-10 cycles
Undesired observations: Exercise is not complete until the below observations or gone:
- Unable to attain lizard position without verbal or tactile assistance.
- Arm and leg move at different speeds or at different times.
- Unable to move arm and leg in a smooth manner
- Extended arm or leg are not fully straight
