This exercise is a continuation of work for the Asymmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex (ATNR)

Technique: 

  • Laying face down on the ground
  • Turn head away from extended arm overhead while the opposite knee is bent up to the hip
  • Reverse the direction of the arms and legs and head at the same time

Frequency: 5-10 cycles

Undesired observations: Exercise is not complete until the below observations or gone:

  • Unable to attain lizard position without verbal or tactile assistance.
  • Arm and leg move at different speeds or at different times.
  • Unable to move arm and leg in a smooth manner
  • Extended arm or leg are not fully straight

 

Assisted for straight body alignment
