Equipment: Brush-end of the paintbrush
Frequency:
- 1-2 x daily
- 5 strokes on the upper cheek and lip on both sides
- 5 strokes on the lower chin and upper lip on both sides
Positive reactions:
- twitch in the corner of the mouth or chin
- turning the head toward the stimulus
- rubbing or scratching the face during or after brush strokes
Scoring:
- 4: more than 75% of strokes react
- 3: 50-75% react
- 2: 25-50% react
- 1: less than 25% react
- 0: zero reaction to strokes = INTEGRATION
Integration has occurred when you get zero reactions during all brush strokes
