This exercise is a continuation of the Tonic Labyrinthine Reflex (TLR)

Technique:

  1. Laying on the stomach (prone) your child will press down with their hands and "hug" the earth while lifting their chin off the floor and holding for 5 seconds-  for 5 cycles
  2. Laying on the back (supine) your child will press down with their hands and "hug" the earth while lifting their chin off the floor and holding for 5 seconds-  for 5 cycles

Frequency:

  • 1-2 x daily

Undesired observations: Exercise is not complete until the below observations or gone:

  • Holding breath
  • Complaints of neck fatigue
  • Shoulders lift when head lifts
  • Legs are tense
  • Arms move out of the "T" position.
