Technique: holding the upper body and arms off the floor while keeping the feet on the floor. You can assist by holding their feet until they get stronger to do it themselves. Singing a song or talking about something else helps the time pass faster.
Frequency:
- 1-2 x daily
- the goal is 1 minute without rest breaks
- can be broken down into 3 - 20 sec counts or 2- 30 sec counts until they can achieve 1 minute without rest breaks
Undesired reactions:
- Holding breath.
- bringing arms back in a bent position
- wiggling side to side
