Eat the Ball

This exercise is a continuation of work for the Asymmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex (ATNR)
Technique:
- Lying on their back the child extends one arm out to the side while the opposite leg is bent at the knee.
- While head is turned to look at the ball, bring ball to nose
- Reverse the direction of all limbs and the head watching the ball come to the nose
Frequency:
- 5 cycles
Undesired observations: Exercise is not complete until the below observations or gone:
- Unable to keep head still while arms and legs are moving.
- Unable to focus on and follow the ball as the hand comes inward.
- Difficulty keeping arms or legs still during head raise.
- Difficulty keeping arms in legs in the proper position arms straight out to sides.
- Unable to move both sides of the body at the same time.
- Unable to move arms at the same time as the legs.
- Movements are choppy, not smooth and coordinated.
- Holding breath.
